Tell The World – The Gospel
1. The Good News - The Power Of Our Gospel
Matt 16:15-18 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. 2 Cor 4:3-10 if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, 4 whose minds Satan has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.
Is 61:1-4 The Spirit of the Lord God is on me, because the Lord has chosen me to bring good news to poor people. He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted He has sent me to tell those who are being held in bondage and to those in prison that they can go free. 2 He has sent me to tell about the Lord’s favor, and the day our God will bring punishment. He has sent me to comfort all who are filled with sorrow. 3 To those who have sorrow in Zion I will give them a crown of beauty instead of ashes. I will give them the oil of joy instead of sorrow, and a spirit of praise instead of a spirit of no hope. Then they will be called oaks that are right with God, planted by the Lord, that He may be honored (strong and fruitful). 4 They will build the cities again that were destroyed long ago. They will raise up what had been torn down, and will build the cities that were destroyed, and have lain waste through the years of many families and their children’s children.
Acts 26:18-20 I send you to open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.’
Matt 1:5 The blind see and the lame walk; the lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear; the dead are raised up and the poor have the gospel preached to them.
2. Our Generosity In The Gospel Determines Its Reach
Rom 10:13-15“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”14 How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? 15 And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”
Ps 35:27 Let them shout for joy and be glad, Who favor my righteous cause; And let them say continually, "Let the Lord be magnified, Who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.
Mk 10:28-31 So Jesus said, “Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My sake and the gospel’s, (good news) 30 who shall not receive a hundredfold now in this time—houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions—and in the age to come, eternal life. 31 But many who are first will be last, and the last first.”
3.Our Heart In The Gospel Comes From Our Own Brokenness
1 Tim 1:15-17 Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners-and I was the greatest of them all. 16 But God had mercy on me so that Christ Jesus could use me as an example to show everyone how patient he is with even the worst sinners, so that others will realize that they, too, can have forgivness of sin and everlasting life.
Deut 8:11-14 your heart is lifted up, and you forget the Lord your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage;
Ex 3:10 now therefore, behold, the cry of the people has come to Me, and I have also seen the oppression with which the world oppresses them. 10 I will send you to Pharaoh that you may bring My people, out of Egyptian bondage.”
Matt 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.
Rom 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes
