1. Our Father – The Lord’s Prayer

Matt 6:6-14 But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly. 7 And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the Fatherless do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words. 8 “Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him. 9 In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be your name. 10 your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread.12 And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors. 13 And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen. 4 “For if you forgive men their sins, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your sins.


2. Our Father - We Are Not a Fatherless People

Ps 27:10 if my father and mother abandon me, the Lord will hold me close. Knowing God as my Father has been the greatest thing in my life

Ps 68:5-6 Father to the fatherless, this is God, whose dwelling is holy. 2. We Have a Good Father and He Has Never and Will Never Change

Jn 14:9 Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father! So why are you asking me to show him to you?

Acts 10:38 God the Father anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. Then Jesus went around doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him. God, the father and the son are the same and they do not change Heb 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

Mal 3:6 For I am the Lord, I change not

Matt 7:11 your heavenly Father gives good gifts to those who ask him.

Matt 6:32-34 So don’t worry at all about anything. Why be like the Fatherless? For they are deeply concerned about many things. But your heavenly Father already knows perfectly well that you need them, 33 and he will give them to you if you give him first place in your life and live as he wants you to. 34 “So don’t be anxious or worried about tomorrow. God will take care of your tomorrow too. Live one day at a time for Him.

Js 1:17 But whatever is good and perfect comes to us from God, the Creator of all light, and he shines forever without ever changing


3.The Power of Forgiveness - Letting Go and Letting God

 

Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

1 Jn 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. My personal journey of forgiveness and letting go and letting God When we don’t forgive ourselves and others we abort the purpose of God for our lives by default

Phil 3:13-14 Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, 14 I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
